Fall Bull Sale November 25

Excellent Slate of Sires
The A*L*O*T Angus Association will host its annual Fall Bull Sale at the Titus County Fair Sale Facility in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The sale will start at Noon.

Varied Offering
Our consignors are bringing a fine offering of bulls to the sale. Many of the bulls have been performance tested at NCTC Beef Cattle Evaluation Center, Gainesville, TX and at the OBI Test Center in Stillwater, OK. Three year-olds, two year-olds, and yearlings will sell. Bring your neighbor for a fine time.

Catalog Complete
Sale Secretary, Beth Wicker, has completed the catalog and it is at the print shop being prepared for distribution. Even though the catalog is finalized, there is still a possibility that you may be able to get a few bulls in the sale, they just will not be cataloged. Contact one of the A*L*O*T Officers or call Beth at (903)667-5581 for more information

A*L*O*T Adds New Directors

At the Spring Female Sale in May, President Bill Stone appointed a committee to search for new directors for the association. His guidelines were to retain as many of the current directors as are willing to continue serving, plus nominate enough additional names so that each member state would have two directors.

The nominating committee consisted of Everett Short, Dan Shelton, and Gerald Franklin. The incumbent directors from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas agreed to remain as directors. O.N. Riley from Oklahoma asked that he not be considered for further service.

The committee spent about ninety days talking with prospective candidates and made the following nominations to the general membership on October 14:

The committee did not fill the second slot for Arkansas, so if any of you know of someone who can join James Brown of Doddridge, please get in touch with James or Bill Stone and give them the name.

A complete list of current directors will be printed in a future newsletter.
