A*L*O*T Fall Sales Scheduled for October and November, 2004

A*L*O*T will hold its Fall Female Sale on October 9, 2004. The Fall Bull Sale is scheduled for November 27, 2004. The sales will again be held at the Titus County Sale Facility in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The female sale is open to females five years of age and younger. Plan now to consign your good ones. The consignment period for the Fall Female Sale opens on July 16, 2004 and the consignment period for the bull sale opens August 24th. No consignments will be accepted that are postmarked prior to these dates.

Footnotes on your cattle are very important so plan to put some thought into writing these. Well conditioned cattle always sell better than thin ones so don’t forget about feeding your cattle well in advance of the sale. Consignment forms for both sales are in this newsletter.

Members should remember that all female consignments over one year of age must be accompanied by current pregnancy status, determined by a practicing vet, and all bulls consigned to the bull sale must have passed a Breeding Soundness Exam no more than 30 days prior to the sale. All animals must arrive with a health certificate for interstate shipment.

Be sure to make plans to attend the sale and pass the word to any friends and neighbors who have not attended in the past. Stress to them that there will be plenty of quality Angus seedstock and a good meal as well.
